Some Summer Pictures

We are in the dog days of summer here! We are spending tons of time at our home away from home (the pool) and Mia is swimming like a fish and diving off the diving board too! The kids aren't driving me bonkers yet and Sean is home more due to the furlough which has been really nice (just don't remind me about the pay cut).
 
There may be a heat index of 105 outside, but we are still loving the grilled corn on the cob and watermelon and spontaneous ice cream shop trips and sprinklers and bike rides and all of that good old summertime stuff.  Aaaahhhh.

Disney Cruise!!

The Disney Cruise was absolutely a once in a lifetime vacation for us!! There are too many highlights to mention and a ton of fun pictures. I am now the president of the Disney Cruise fan club :)  (kidding) I uploaded all of the photos to Shutterfly to make a photo book and the link to all 395 photos is below.  I will post some of my favorites soon!

End of School Days

The past few weeks have been quite busy with lots of fun end of the year stuff for both of the girls. We also took a trip to Md. for Memorial Weekend and had a blast tubing at our friend's the DeGuzmans, and meeting baby Camden!  Other fun events over the past few weeks include (in no particular order).... Ellie's adorable program, Mia's adorable program, Mia's Kindergarten award ceremony, Mia lost her first tooth!, we hatched and released butterflies, we went to the annual Harborfest (tall ships celebration in Norfolk), and we kicked off another relaxing summer at the neighborhood pool! Ahhhhh.... Oh, and Sean and I finally joined the rest of the world and got smartphones. So I have to confess, I've been posting more pictures to Facebook lately because it is just so easy! But I'll still put some on the blog and you've got to check out the video at the end of Mia's speech at her K awards ceremony. I'm a proud mama. Kindergarten has been fantastic and Mia's teacher is amazing and we'll miss her a lot next year. And Ellie loved school and asks everyday when she can go back :)  Here's to a restful and enjoyable summer!

Catch up!

Now that my part time job (kidding) that was the PTA Carnival is over, I am catching up on some things and will post some new pictures to the blog :)  We are all doing well and loving the Spring.  Ellie is potty trained (thanks Sean!), Mia has her first wiggly tooth and is almost done with Kindergarten!! and we are getting excited for our Disney Cruise with family!

Here are some photos from the past month or so. Included are pictures of Mia's new haircut, her fun run at school, the Mermaid we spent all year fundraising for, a trip to Busch Gardens, and our annual strawberry picking! Oh, and the last thing is a very small snippet of Mia's class singing and signing "You are so Beautiful" for her Mother's Day program. I was a blubbering mess. Happy Mother's Day!! XO from us.
